WHO ARE WE?

Miltons Family Farms started with my passion for loving and owning mini highland cows which I later on had lots of highlands cows and diary goats at my little lovely yard and I could not take good care of all these loving creatures by myself so a few friends and family members advised me to start selling most of the highland cows locally which i did and after a few years i expanded and created a business home for mini highlands, goats, pigs and many other home and farm pets or animals.

Our name sums up our business. We’re all about making pets happy and, after years of trading in happiness, we’re pretty good at it

MINIATURE HIGHLANDER COWS

Miniature cows are exactly what they sound like, they’re just normal cows, but smaller. While that may seem quite unproductive at first, there are plenty of reasons as to why farmers would opt for them as opposed to going for normal sized cows.

So, what exactly are miniature cows? Essentially, they are normal cows that have been bred into a more compact size. This also means that you’ll be getting lesser milk from them as compared to normal size cows but at the same time you’ll be wasting a lot less money caring for them since they take up a lot less space and they eat and drink a lot less than a regular sized cow too.

TEACUP PIGLETS

Pet pigs are known by many different names. Much of the confusion about the pigs size comes from not understanding the terminology.

The smallest of the miniature breeds are the micro mini pigs also known as teacup pigs or Juliana pigs. The miniature potbelly pigs or the mini potbelly are the largest of the mini breeds.

DONKEYS

Donkeys have been a cornerstone throughout human existence, and they still prop up entire communities today, ferrying water, food and crops. They are highly intelligent creatures, sociable and calm, capable of independent thinking and decision making. They are strong and won’t do something they consider unsafe, which makes them a great, trusted companion. Donkeys are, quite simply, amazing.

GOATS

All of our pygmy goats and nigerian dwarf goats are handled from birth and love nothing more than a bit of playing and your attention, guaranteed for hours of fun! All pygmy’s are good to be sold in pairs as they are a herd animal, unless you have an existing herd in which case can be sold separately. All kids sold will have their feet trimmed, and will be wormed and vaccinated.

SUGAR GLIDERS

Sugar gliders are small, tree-dwelling possums. These are small creatures that are also marsupials, and their name to fame is that they can glide in the air up to about the length of half a soccer field. Due to their small size and cute appearance, sugar gliders have become increasingly popular pets.

The average life expectancy for sugar gliders is about 10 to 15 years when properly cared for.

They are very sociable pets and are very clean too

HEDGEHOGS

Hedgehogs are adorable little insect eating mammals that live, on average, 4-7 years when kept as pets.

They are one of the most common species of pets. Due to their compact size, some people keep this type as a pet. While these exotic little creatures may look adorable in pictures and can make good pets under the right circumstances,
